Visionary, innovator, and founder of EASYMETERING S.A., EASYMETERING, LLC. Graduated from the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral in 1996, Electronic Engineer, specialty Telecommunications, an expert in Data Transmission, Cellular Network Infrastructure, development of electronic devices for data transmission, PCB designer, firmware development, software, and advanced data center architectures; In 2005 he was selected by ESPOL to incorporate his business case into the Entrepreneurship program to inspire new cases of technological entrepreneurship in the country. In the beginning, Byron Rojas carried out business internships at Ecuavisa, Fastcomp SA, began his professional and professional career at BISMARK SA, starting in 1996 as a Technician, in 1997 he was promoted to Technical Manager and in 1998 he rose again to the position of Business Development Manager in the holding company of BISMARK Intl Ltda, where its main responsibility was to integrate products to be used with the first generation of cellular data network Cellular Digital Packet Data CDPD and train the commercial team to a better understanding of the services and products that the company offered to the national and international level; In addition, in this position, he was part of the business development team in alliance with Ericsson of Sweden, which sold CDPD infrastructure to cellular network operators in Latin America.
Due to the impressive potential of the first generation CDPD cellular data technology, Byron Rojas decided to resign in 1999 in the midst of the economic crisis, to found BARRICK S.A., bringing new products to the international market, at BARRICK S.A. was the first in the world to develop a CDPD router for Point of Sale Terminals used by banks and credit cards, this product was sold and implemented for the betting network in the Horse Lottery in Venezuela in 2003, Datafast in Ecuador, 2003-2005, new products and projects, such as passenger counters for Urban Transportation 2005 – 2007, serving more than 1400 buses in the city of Guayaquil, in 2010 he designed and developed Vending Machine Terminals and the Management Platform to sell prepayment cellular plans services to CLARO’s clients.
Since 2003 Byron Rojas began the development of the first AMI module with Cellular Technology for ABB Electronic Meters used in around 3,500 meters of the Guayaquil electricity company CATEG, in 2005 he began his alliances with the smart metering giants signing an agreement between BARRICK SA and ELSTER SOLUTIONS, LLC. In 2006 he implemented his own Ethernet technology for AMI modules to be integrated into Alpha A3 meters manufactured by ELSTER. 2007 develops the first version of WSMP (Wireless Script Metering Protocol) technology using GSM / GPRS cellular technology. Since then, this technology and solution have been implemented in different electric companies in the country. In 2009 he made agreements with General Electric, in 2010 he founded EASYMETERING to serve the national and international market with this new version of the technology. Since then EASYMETERING has been positioning itself in the National and International market.
